Somaieh Soltani, PharmD, PhD

Somaieh Soltani earned her Pharm.D. (2004) and Ph.D. (2011) degrees from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, followed by a one-year research experience in Pharmacy Faculty of Freie Universität Berlin (2017-2018) where she was working on polypharmacologic drug discovery collaborating with Cambridge University. She is currently a Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the Tabriz University of Medical Sciences.
Dr. Soltani’s primary research focus is computational-based drug discovery, particularly targeting anti-inflammatory and anti-Alzheimer drugs. She integrates computational methods with experimental design and biomaterial science, emphasizing transdermal drug delivery systems. Her work has been widely published in high-rank peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Soltani supervised more than 30 PhD, PharmD and MSc national and international theses in the field of drug discovery focused on novel applications of molecular modeling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence in the field. She has developed an evidence-based target and lead discovery method using fingerprint-based similarity search approach leading to a number of under-review and under-publication papers.
