Mehrdad Hamidi got his Pharm.D. (1993) and Ph.D. (1999) degrees from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Then he spent two Postdoctoral fellowships at University of Alberta, Canada (1999-2001) and University of Toronto, Canada (2001-2003). Dr. Hamidi is a professor of pharmaceutical nanotechnology at the Zanjan School of Pharmacy. The main research field of Dr. Hamidi is nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems with a main focus on enhancement of the brain transport of CNS-active drugs. He has published several highly-cited articles in peer-reviewed journals, several books, chapters, encyclopedia articles, and international patents in the field of novel drug delivery systems. Dr. Hamidi is listed among the world’s 1% top scientists by ESI ranking since 2013. He is the Editorial Board Member of several international journals. Dr. Hamidi has supervised more than 20 PhD and more than 50 PharmD theses in the last 20 years of his academic career.
